Scale Atlantis, Roderick Vos, Cor Unum

The 45 cm diameter bowl 'Atlantis' is named after the myth of Atlantis. The theme for this design was inspired by the evolutionary forms of nature, emphasizing a repetition of structure as seen, for example, in "marine life".
The repetition of curves in this apparent craft were developed with very high-tech advanced Cad Cam programs and used to create a 'mother' for a mold. Atlantis was created through rotation, division and reflection.
This project ultimately resulted in a beautiful but very complex basic shape that is partly due to the highest technological knowledge of producer Cor Unum.
