Archiving Water Ware is a collection of earthenware products that has been processed with a glaze developed by Lotte de Raadt himself. The glaze leaves a drop of structure on each product. Just like water, the glaze behaves unpredictably during application - it finds its own way, leaving behind complexly detailed but beautiful and tactile structures. The process is designed here, the result is left to chance.
The collection consists of presentation trays, a decanter, cups and bowls. The special glaze is applied in places where the products are touched by hands. The texture of the glaze feels pleasant and gives grip. The products are suitable for consumption (presentation trays only for dry food) and dishwasher safe.
Archiving Water Ware shows the beauty of water and stimulates a more conscious use of this precious natural resource. It glorifies and communicates (tap) water as an essential ingredient for life.
